Gift ideas for the Shooting Enthusiast in Your Life.
If you are reading this, it is a pretty good bet that you have a Shooting Enthusiast in your life. Whether your Shooting Enthusiast is a target shooter, a hunter, a concealed carrier, a competitive shooter, or any mix of these, I have a list of suggestions that can help you pick the perfect gift.
I posed the question, “What are some things that you would like to receive for the holidays?”, on several social media platforms and I will be sharing the feedback I received. You may not know a lot about what your shooter wants or needs, but hopefully, this list will help you get some ideas.
The first item on the list is a simple, inexpensive item. A bore snake is a tool used for cleaning a firearm in the field. They come in several calibers and can be used to clean just about any firearm.
The link above will take you directly to one option for a bore snake. All you need to know is the make and model of the firearm and a little Googlefu can tell you the caliber, unless they disclose that too! This item is the perfect stocking stuffer!
Moving on!
I also received the following feedback. “I really would like a pair of electronic earmuffs.” If you don’t know, these are a hearing protection device for shooters. They allow the shooter to hear conversations going on around them, but protect the hearing from the report of the shots. These are a great upgrade to standard muffs, but if you are buying for someone that already has a pair, a second pair is never a bad idea. Equipment fails. Batteries die. Having two means one can be kept in a range bag, and one in a vehicle for last minute trips to the range, or being able to provide ear protection for someone that does not have any.
Champion Targets Electronic Earmuffs
The link above will take you directly to one option. These have a variety of price points, but do not need to be expensive.
Next up!
This next item was another suggestion from my poll. Targets can be expensive and require something to affix them to. This little target is an impact healing target and are usable for 1,000+ rounds and are rated for all calibers up to the .50 cal. This target can present a challenging day on the range and provide hours of fun. The price point is perfect too!
Do All Traps Impact Seal Top Hat BST4
The link above will take you directly to one option. There are several on the market and these can be a great supplement to plain old paper targets.
Another great idea …
If your “Enthusiast” spends any amount of time in the outdoors, emergency supplies are essential. Food that can be stored in a vehicle is a great option. Mountain House Meals are a fabulous option from a reputable company. Meals are offered in a variety of options, including Gluten Free!
The link above will take you directly to the meals we currently have available and ready to ship within 24 hours or so. We can also order meals by the case, or in kits. Please reach out to us for more information and availability.
Other things that would make great gifts and fall into the ‘emergency preparedness’ category would include a small stove, a water purifier, emergency blankets, solar lanterns. All of these items are readily available on many online retailers and can be relatively inexpensive. They take up little room in a backpack or small tote in a vehicle.
Still need an idea?
This little station is essential for the ‘guy’ that has everything, in his pockets. The perfect little spot to put all the things that need kept track of. Sleek, handmade and customizable, this would make a great gift! Your purchase would also support another small business.

No inspiration yet?
Holsters are an essential tool to the shooting enthusiast. Whether it’s an outer waist band (OWB), inner waist band (IWB), a competition rig or even a thigh rig, a quality holster is a must. However, custom holsters are best left to the shooter, but what about a gift certificate toward the purchase of one? Matt, at Gargoyle Concealment has created several custom holsters for me. He has made us trigger guards and mag pouches. We have been super happy with the customer service as well as the products we have received. He has recently expanded to include knife sheaths and other products. Another small business on our list to support.

Still with me?
Shooting enthusiasts all have one thing in common. They need to clean their firearms. We touched on bore snakes(also known as bore ropes) in the beginning of this post , but there are other items that can make this job easier. Stripping and cleaning a firearm involves a plethora of little pieces. Springs, pins, parts, Oh my! A parts tray is the perfect solution! From keeping little pieces in one place, to holding keys and loose trays, these fit many needs. Purchasing one of these supports another small business.

Another great tool, and excellent gift idea, is an armorers mat. These come in several designs and even have blow out pics of some of the most popular firearms. These are great for keeping small parts in check and protecting both the surface of your work space and your fire arm, scuff free.
The link above will take you directly to one option we currently have available. There are many other options on the website.
Lets not forget, we also have Gift Cards available if you prefer. Contact Us or give us a call at 208-252-5148 if you would like to purchase one.
Well, there it is. A list of suggestions by shooters, for shooters. As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions at all about any of these items. If you are still stuck, and looking for other suggestions, we are happy to help with that too! The small business affiliates I have linked, are all businesses we have done business with and support when we can.
We appreciate your continued support for our small business.
Have a Happy and Safe Holiday Season!
